Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Schedule
Mercedes outlines two services for their customers. These services can be performed by the factory-trained and certified mechanics at Eurosport Automotive where we have served the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 1997. Essentially yearly maintenance, mapped out for the first 2 subsequent years of your vehicle’s life. A Service is to be utilized when the vehicle reaches approximately 10,000 miles or one year of age, whichever occurs first. B Service is to be utilized when the vehicle reaches approximately 20,000 miles or two years of age, whichever occurs first. When these schedules are followed appropriately, both services are designed to keep your Mercedes-Benz performing at it’s best. The details of each service are listed below, and can also be found in the Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Booklet.
Mercedes Benz A Service includes the following:
Required
- Oil and filter change
- Check engine hood safety catch
- Check water drain in air/water duct for obstructions & clean.
- Fill up DEF
- Reset Service Indicator in instrument panel
- Check front & rear break-pads for thickness
- Adjust cable slack on parking break
- Correct tire pressure
- Correct inflation pressure in spare tire
- Check audible warning system
- Check electric-hydraulic brake system hydraulic unit
- Check & correct the following fluid levels:
- Engine cooling system
- Antifreeze & corrosion protection
- Coolant
- Brake system
- Power steering
- Windshield washer system
- Active Body Control
- Differential lock mechanism fluid reservoir
Recommended
- Replace wiper blades
- Check & correct the fluid level & condition of the battery
- Check the following electrical systems:
- Horn
- High beam flasher
- Hazard warning lamps
- Turn signals
- Warning/indicator lamps
- Illumination & interior lighting/exterior lighting
- Truck/cargo compartment lighting
- Check windshield & headlamp cleaning systems
- Tire rotation
- Inspect each tire for damage, note tread depth
- Check TIREFIT sealant expiration date
- Activate Tire Pressure Monitoring System
- Visually check brake system components
- Check thickness of brake pads & disks while front & rear wheels are removed
Mercedes Benz B Service includes everything listed in A Service PLUS the following:
Required
- Check condition of poly-V-belt
- Replace fuel filter
- Evacuate and fill up DEF; check for leaks & damage
- Replace brake fluid
- Replace dust filter
- Check for chafe marks, line routing & damaged components.
- Visually inspect the condition of the following, correct when necessary:
- Front or rear axle ball joints, rubber boots
- Driveshaft flexible disks
- Steering components, rubber boots
- Propeller shafts
- Universal joints
- Bolts attaching steering
- Joint housing of AWD front axle grease packing
- Check & correct the following additional fluid levels:
- Transfer case
- Front & rear axle
- Check parking break for functionality
- Check differential/transfer case lock mechanisms (front, rear & center)
Recommended
- Check seat belts & buckles for signs of damage & functionality
- If sunroof is installed, check, clean & lubricate mechanism
- Check bodywork for paint-work damage
- Lubricate all door locks
- Check for damage & corrosion on chassis & load-bearing body components
