We Do Factory Scheduled Maintenance

Anyone who owns a car has had to deal with repairs, whether they were for regular maintenance or something unexpected. Either way, repairs are a fact of life since no vehicle is built to last forever. Nevertheless, some major repairs can be prevented by following the factory scheduled maintenance of the vehicle.

For some individuals, taking their car to the dealership for scheduled maintenance can be an expensive line item on the budget. What can you do when faced with the conundrum of keeping your car in good working condition versus paying dealership prices? This is where our services can deliver what you expect.

We are an automotive repair facility that provides scheduled maintenance services for European brands including BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover,  Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Volvo, Mini, and Volkswagen. Our complete factory scheduled maintenance program can help you save thousands of  dollars over the life of your vehicle. The prices we offer are competitive with the factory scheduled maintenance for any dealership.

Typically, the manufacturer creates a detailed schedule that outlines specific actions performed on different systems and components. Each action is completed at different mileage and time intervals. Having these actions performed on time can prevent premature wear and tear, and  ensure your vehicle operates safely. In many cases, specific services such as an oil change are also part of the schedule to maintain warranties.

You want to avoid generic services from neighborhood shops or dealers different from your vehicle. One-size-fits-all is not the best approach when it comes to ensuring the longevity of your car. Our repair facility is equipped for factory scheduled maintenance and service.

Our computerized automotive information systems will help make sure you stay in compliance with the maintenance schedule required by the manufacturer’s warranty. We offer a basic, intermediate and major factory scheduled maintenance program for many European brand vehicles.

Basic Factory Scheduled Maintenance

Generally, the basic factory scheduled maintenance Mini and other vehicles include regular services common to extend the life of your vehicle. These may include tire rotations, oil and filter change, and safety inspection. Our skilled technicians conduct visual inspections of belts and hoses. They check for unexpected fluid leaks that could damage other parts of your car. They also listen for odd noises that may interrupt the safe operation of your vehicle.

The actual mileage schedule for basic maintenance may vary among  manufacturers. Some may have 5,000, 7,500 and 10,000 mile services. Other manufacturers may recommend 35,000, 55,000 and 100,000 mile services. Mileage distance determined by the manufacturer are basic service points with other milestones included with these services.

In addition to the manufacturer’s factory scheduled maintenance, we also offer a 24 month/24,000 mile warranty on all work that we perform.

Intermediate Factory Scheduled Maintenance

An intermediate schedule is typically 15,000 mile, 45,000 mile and 75,000 mile service. In addition, any vehicle air filters such as cabin or engine are also replaced. Standard checks for leaks, worn belts and hoses, and brakes are also included in the intermediate factory scheduled maintenance.

We will also verify whether there are any active recalls. Suggested repairs at the 15,000 mile interval may include brake pad and wiper blade replacement. For the 45,000 mile interval, your vehicle may need new tires. We will also inspect the ignition system since this is considered a comprehensive service. Any necessary repairs are completed to keep your car running at optimal level.

Additional repairs are often suggested during the 75,000 mile interval service. At this point, wear and tear of drive belts, hoses and motor mounts are not unusual. Some vehicles may have oil leaks that need repair. Our advanced computerized equipment can detect the source of abnormal noises and irregularities in operation.

Major Factory Scheduled Maintenance

Major factory scheduled maintenance is necessary at 30,000 mile, 60,000  mile and 120,000 mile intervals. Fluids such as coolant, transmission and brake are usually replaced at each of these milestones. The fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs are also replaced during major scheduled maintenance.

Additional maintenance repairs during the 30,000 mile service may include a brake pad and tire replacement. Typically, this is the first time most vehicles receive major work so having to replace these things is not uncommon.

The 60,000 mile service point is very similar to the 30,000 mile interval. The brake pads and tires may need replacing again. This may depend on your driving habits along with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The engine coolant and other fluids are replaced and where applicable, timing belts are also replaced.

During the 120,000 mile service, there are many repairs that may apply to your vehicle. Our expertise in European cars guarantees that your vehicle

receives the best care. If you have maintained the vehicle properly at this point, the consequences or benefits become visible. A vehicle that has missed important factory scheduled maintenance services will require a lot of work. Alternately, a car that has received good maintenance on a regular schedule might only need minor repairs.
